This is a small part of a Trompe L'oeil painting that Peta worked on the finished project was 55 mtrs long x 5 mtrs high.

She was commissioned by Mitre 10 Shepperton at Corio St in Victoria.

There is a garden nursery placed in front of all the art work and a cafe that joins the painting.

If you live near-by it's worth a visit.

The Hotel Metropole at Brunswick Street Fitzroy, Melbourne. All the rooms were looking out on to a brick wall.

Installation of the marine ply panels taking place on site, after they had been painted in the studio. Most of the installation was done, working from scaffolding erected over the pool.

The finished project - just a little last minute touch up on the stair case.

I could reach this part standing in the pool. I had my gumboots on, as
it had been raining and water had collected in the pool.

Thats the first time I've painted with my gumboots on!

Projects 03

This project was to be painted on a side wall at a residential home.

The marine ply panels were fitted to the wall see pic above left, then the Trompe was painted onto them so as to match the bricks.

An alternate to marine ply is to cement render the brickwork for a smooth surface to work on.

Left... this is a painted urn and topiary tree with parkland in the background. The client wanted to extend her garden, this painting was placed behind her real garden which you can see in the foreground.

Right... painted balustrading and foliage creates a softness in a corporate penthouse space.

Bottom left...the installation of the topiary bush and urn which is one of three painted panels.
